Sacramento is being hailed nationally as an up-and-coming culinary hot spot. The city’s Farm-to-Fork movement has made incredible waves across the region, and is getting the attention of foodies across the country. In a semi predictable turn of events (we are an agricultural powerhouse after all), people are traveling to us to see what our “Cuisine Scene” is all about. This January will mark the 12th Annual Dine Downtown, taking place in the heart of Sacramento. This “10-day restaurant celebration” not only lets locals and visitors alike, get a feel for what downtown’s restaurants have to offer, it does so without breaking the bank while supporting local social services and food literary programs. Eating for a cause?! That’s definitely something I can get behind. Take a look below for more information. 🙂
The season’s hottest, budget-friendly way to enjoy all of the flavorful selections of downtown Sacramento’s best restaurants returns January 12-22, 2017. The 12th Annual Dine Downtown 10-day dining extravaganza, produced by Downtown Sacramento Partnership, gives local foodies and families the opportunity to explore pre-fixe, 3-course specialty menus from 35 participating restaurants for only $35.
Not just an economic benefit, one dollar from every Dine Downtown meal served is donated to food literacy and social service programs in the community. It only takes one party of four to make the difference for beneficiaries like California Food Literacy Center.
